Giuseppe Graziosi (Savignano sul Panaro, 1879-Florence, 1942) "Susanna" Bronze cm 46 x 42 x 30 Lost-wax bronze sculpture, bearing the signature G. Graziosi. This bronze, dated 1910, is the first version of a marble work exhibited in 1914 at the Venice Biennale, the plaster cast of which is now preserved in the Gipsoteca of Modena. This work marks a distinct shift from the early phase of Graziosi's sculpture, with a return to Renaissance tradition. The social and veristic themes proposed in his previous works give way to alluring female figures, whose physical beauty is sublimated in the pure and detached expression of the face.
